A new look for Funnels and Conditional Logic in Groundhogg

Groundhogg 3.7.1 and Conditional Logic 3.0 are now available! Here’s what’s new…

• The funnel step flow has received some UI tweaks which hopefully makes it even easier to follow
• Conditional Logic is now visualized in the step flow
• Some new formatting replacement codes
• Other improvements and bug fixes

💅 UI changes for Funnels

The step flow in the funnel editor has received a “Glow-up.” We’re always thinking of ways to make funnel building more fun and less daunting. We want our users to have confidence that their funnels are going to do what they want.

1️⃣ There is now much more emphasis on the icons of the steps to more easily identify key actions within your funnel. We’ve used square icons for benchmarks and circles for actions.

2️⃣ We’ve also added flow lines between action steps to support some of the new additions in our conditional logic add-on.

3️⃣ Timer action steps appear smaller than other action steps to better differentiate delays from other kinds of actions.

✅❌ Conditional Logic, visualized

We’re testing out a new way of visualizing your conditional logic settings for steps within the step flow using yes/no paths similar to other marketing automation tools.

The way it works or is configured hasn’t changed! You still configure logic on a per-step basis, but you can now see how that impacts the journey within the step flow.

You can hover over the “If…” node to preview the conditions so you don’t have to click into the step to see what they are.

When moving a step, it will also move the conditions with it (as it did before), making editing and re-ordering your funnel simple.

Conditional Logic in Groundhogg

We’ve changed the way conditional logic in the step flow is displayed. It’s now more flowchartish by showing paths to the next/specific step if the conditions are not met.

The way you configure conditional logic has not changed and all your logic operates exactly as it did before. It’s still defined per step, and you edit the conditions from within the step settings, but in the flow it will appear before the step as that is how it has always functioned.

Hopefully this is a welcome improvement, but we may revert it depending on user feedback.
