How to submit remote Elementor form content into Groundhogg

If you’re someone who has multiple websites and is struggling to manage all the data you’re collecting, you might want to look into consolidating your information.

With Groundhogg, you can transfer data from a remote Elementor form so all of your information is in one place.

By linking your Elementor forms to Groundhogg, your marketing and sales teams will have better insights and it will allow for more advanced automation. The process optimizes your workflow and sets the stage for more effective engagement.

To do this, start by linking your Elementor form to Groundhogg using provided API details. When users submit the remote form, their information smoothly goes into your Groundhogg CRM.

How to implement:

Start by creating a page, for this example, we’ll name it “Elementor Form.”

Click the [ Edit with Elementor ] button.

Type in the search field “Form”, this will present you with some blocks. Drag the Form block into the page.

The form will be displayed with the default fields, which you can customize to your liking.

Under the form settings on the left click the arrow next to “Actions After Submit” and remove the “Collect Submissions” and “Email” actions and click the “+” to select Webhook. 

A webhook option will appear, click the arrow to expand and an option for a webhook URL will be made available.

Let’s go to the site with Grounhogg to get this Wenhook URL.

Go to Groundhogg > Funnels

Create a Funnel, let’s name it “Remote Elementor Form.”

Add the Webhook Listener Benchmark to the funnel.

Copy the Listener URL over to the Webhook URL on the remote site and Publish the page. 

Visit the page and complete the form, it will fail. 

Go back to the “Remote Elementor Form” funnel and save the funnel. This will populate the “Request” section.

Next, we’ll map the fields. Click the [ Map Request Fields ] button for each field map to where you want them stored in Groundhogg’s Contacts.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully set up an automation where once an individual fills out an Elementor form, the form’s content becomes seamlessly incorporated into your Groundhogg CRM. This integration paves the way for additional layers of automation to unfold.

Can you do this with other form tools?

Yes, but some may require additional plugins. For example, Contact Form 7 would need CF7 to webhook.
