This addon filters out potentially “fake” traffic from tracking links in emails.
This will:
- Make engagement reports more accurate
- Reduce server resource usage during a send
- Reduce bot activity on your site
Install and activate the addon, then go to Groundhogg > Tools > Misc and install the filter in one click using the tool.
If traffic is suspected as “fake,” then a static page will be shown that will eventually redirect them to the intended destination. Since most bots don’t run JavaScript, they will only see the static page and not load WordPress reducing resource usage.
